1000 visitors

Well, it seems that today will be an eventful day at Slaho.com.  Unless something unexpected happens, I will have my 1000th visitor today (since I’ve been tracking anyway).  I started counting visitors about a year ago, which means I’ve been avearging almost 3 visitors a day for the last year.  AWESOME, huh?  Yeah, it would seem that way, except I have learned that some of my visitors, as I’ve stated in previous blogs may not be too interested in what I really have to say.  (Actually, this may be true for some of the people who purposely enter also, but, hey, you’re my friends so I know you’ll pretend otherwise, right?)

So, to commemorate my 1000th visitor, I have decided to post some of the comments I received from my last blog on our left leaning president.  Notice how specific these people are to the topic at hand.

First a comment from reader “Cheap Spy Pens”:

“This is a very interesting website. I wish I had found it earlier. This information will definitely come in handy.”

Handy for what?  Are you planning a move to Australia?  Are you now planning to write a letter to the president complaining about his polocies? Or maybe you’re going to write a dissertation on Chavez’s view on president Obama.  Regardless, I’m glad my blogging is coming in handy…

Now a comment from “Electronic Crossword” who shares:

Why, thank you, Mr. Crossword.  I’m glad you like my writing style.  I’ll be counting on you to buy and read my first book when it gets published!

Last, I want to share a comment from frequent reader and contributor, “Buy Nursing Pads Online” who opines:

Obviously, Mr. Pads Online, you must live under a rock, if you were unaware (whether you agreed or disagreed with my opinions) of what is happening in our country.  But, I’m glad I could be of service to you.  And, if I were you, I would seriously consider a name change.

Yes, these are ACTUAL responses to my blog.  I would accept the comments as posted but, I don’t want people to redirect to buying nursing pads online, especially since you can get them of better quality and for a better price at Costco.  And i found REALLY cheap spy pens on Craig’s list, right next to the Israeli Uzis being offered for a mere $20 a piece, so why would you go visit “Spy Pen Guy”.

I would love to believe that 1000 people have actually visited my site, if only because I live for people feeding my ego (not really, but it definitely could be perceived that way).  And the truth is that I AM a little tired of having to sift through these comments to moderate without actually knowing how many people really do enjoy reading my blogs.  So, if you come in, feel free to leave a little comment for me to read.  The conversations that begin actually get quite good, and your contribution is very welcome.  And I wouldn’t have to get so excited about seeing I have a comment pending only to realize that someone wants me to buy tampons.  Sorry, I don’t need any!  But thanks for visiting my site!!
