THE CREATIVITY POLICE
The creativity police has arrived to make sure that all is running well
What he sees is some inaction, at least as far as he can tell
Lots of postings have been made but they’re mostly from one member
Most everyone else seems AWOL dating back to last December
He writes up a citation for those creative minds who have been idle
It seems they haven’t even taken the time to write a decent title
To create takes but ten minutes as our administartor exhorts
Nobody is expected to have to write one hundred page reports
There’s no monetary fine linked to the ticket that has been dealt
Just take a moment to write or draw what you’ve been thinking or have felt
The authorities have spoken and now have left but with a warning
If you don’t sit down and create something it will result in global warming!
(This poem was written about the inkndoodles site where I like to post most of my creative works… it is a workshop for those who are trying to find a community that promotes creativity. The problem is that there are all of 3 of us in the community. This poem airs a bit of my frustration, but is also an invitation for all who want to create and share, and give input to these creations to join the inkndoodles community.)
